Willadean Peacock

Four Oaks, NC:  Mrs. Willadean Johnson Peacock, age 82, of Hannah Creek Road died Wednesday, August 29, 2018  at Johnston UNC Healthcare in Smithfield, NC.  Funeral Service will be 4:00PM, Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson, NC.  Officiating will be Rev. Michael Bassett. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery in Benson, NC.             Mrs. Peacock was born March 12, 1936  in Sampson County to the late Telpher and Millie Parker Johnson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Peacock; son, Ronnie Peacock; sister, Irene Poole; brothers, Jarmon Johnson; and John B. Johnson. Mrs. Peacock farmed along side her husband and was a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church in Benson, NC. She served as deaconess, Sunday school teacher and was also a member of Holly Grove's WHFMS.             Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Brenda P. and Timmy McLamb of Benson; daughter-in-law, Cathy Peacock; grandchildren, Edwin Peacock and wife, Kim, William Peacock and wife, Krystal all of Benson; and Stephanie Williams and husband, Scott of Newton Grove; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Telpher Johnson, Jr.  and Charlie Johnson both of Dunn; sister, Nellie Capps of Dunn; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver and friend, Tina Brokaw.             The family will receive friends 2:30PM - 3:30PM, Sunday, September 2, 2018 prior to the service at  Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Brenda and Timmy McLamb, 7552 NC 96 S., Benson, NC 27504.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
