William Gerald Blackmon

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. William Gerald Blackmon, age 81, of Hannah Creek Road, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Benson Grove Baptist Church in Angier. Officiating will be Dr. Billy Cashwell. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.

Mr. Blackmon was born on July 8, 1940 in Johnston County, NC to the late Ashley and Lillie Allean Pollard Blackmon.  He retired from Chicopee in Benson and was a member of Benson Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving include his wife of 56 years, Jean R. Blackmon; children, Jennifer Dorman and husband, Woody of Benson, Chris Blackmon and wife, Kelly of Garner, Jayme Blackmon and wife, Justine of Benson, Kelly Blackmon and wife, Maria of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Alex Beard, Kelly Dorman, Ryan Dorman, Emily Blackmon, Kate Blackmon, Ellie Blackmon; sister, Janice Dorman of Meadow; brothers, Earl Blackmon and wife, Wanda of Kenly, Cecil Blackmon and wife, Shirley of Kenansville; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, March 4, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
