William Adam Stroud

Benson, NC: Mr. William Adam Stroud, age 97, passed away at his home on Monday, September 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later time.                  

Mr. Stroud was born on March 11, 1926 in New Jersey to the late Arnold Aurthur, Jr. and Ethel Mae Stroud.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Adela Stroud; granddaughter, Lisa Rinker; son-in-law, Joseph Guiliani; he was the last of his siblings.  Mr. Stroud proudly served in the US Navy during World War II after the war he went to work for Western Union, then as a civilian for the US Air Force as a microwave communication foreman.  Through his thirty years of service, he worked at Andrews Air Force Base and the Pentagon.  Bill was a man who loved to tinker he could fix anything and he passed that skill down to his family.            

Surviving include his children, Evelyn Guiliani, Arnold Stroud and wife, Lynette, David Stroud, William Adam Stroud, Jr. and Judy Rhodes and husband, David; nine grandchildren along with numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
