William Royce "W.R." Lambert, Sr. (Billy Royce)

Benson, NC: Mr. William Royce "W.R." Lambert, Sr. (Billy Royce), age 84 of Lincoln Street died Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.  Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, August 5, 2019 at Benson Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Leon Tart. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson.             Mr. Lambert was born November 2, 1934 in Johnston County to the late William Jefferson and Louise Carr Lambert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Clifton Lambert; and a son and daughter-in-law, Richard R. "Ricky" and Susan Lambert. Mr. Lambert worked everyday with  Lambert Surveying Inc. and was a member of Benson Baptist Church and attended Cedar Falls Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He was a member of the American Legion Banner Post 109 in Benson and a US Army veteran.                       Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Lambert of Benson; son and daughter-in-law, W. Royce, Jr. and Tina Lambert of Angier; grandchildren, Emily Lambert, Adam Lambert, Jeffrey Lambert, Jessica Lambert Lane, Abbie Lambert, E. Victoria Lambert Carrillo and Daniel Lambert; seven great-grandchildren; Jacqueline Carrillo, Angelina Carrillo, Henry Lambert, Emma Lane, Vanesa Carrillo, Zachary Lambert, Obed Royce Carrillo; brother, Jerry Lambert of Benson; special friend, Glenda Tart of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Benson Baptist Church P.O.
