Willie Holmes

Benson, NC: Mrs. Willie Ruth Holmes, age 83, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield. A graveside service will be 2:00PM Friday, January 20, 2012, at Roselawn Cemetery.  Rev. Ron Godwin will officiate.             Mrs. Holmes was born December 27, 1928 in Sampson County to the late Henderson Edward and Daisey Byrd Oxendine.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Holmes.  Mrs. Holmes was a homemaker.             Surviving are Special Niece, Jewelle Norris of Benson; and other nieces and nephews.             Family will receive friends at the home, 311 South Dunn Street, Benson, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, January 19, 2012.
