Willow Dean Blackmon

Benson, NC: Mrs. Willow Dean Barefoot Blackmon, age 77, of Banner Heights Road passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at her daughter's residence surrounded by her loving family.  A Private Graveside Service will be held at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate.              Mrs. Blackmon  was born on May 4, 1943  in Johnston County to the late Therlo and Ruby Barefoot. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Ruth Barefoot, Therlo Barefoot, Jr., Sherwood Barefoot, and Shelby Allen. Mrs. Blackmon retired from Fieldcrest as a supervisor and attended Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.             Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Luby Blackmon, Jr. of Benson; children, Chris Blackmon of Benson, Christy Brown and husband, Philip of Wilmington; grandchildren, Marshall Dean Blackmon, Cael Blackmon, Philip Brown, III, Sallie Brown; several nieces and nephews.                          Due to the current health concerns the family understands you are not able to join them for the services.
